Pando Alliance takes its name from the largest known single organism on earth. Pando, an expansive forest of aspen trees in Utah, shares a common root network through which all available resources such as water and nutrients are freely shared. While seemingly separate, there is no genetic distinction between parts. Pando thrives- even in the face of challenges, because of is its interconnectedness to the whole. Pando Alliance has been established to provide similar, comprehensive support for sustaining the growth of residential communities, both new and newly regenerating.

Janice Romanosky, principal, is an experienced consultant in the field of residential green building and energy efficiency. She has expertly guided a wide variety of projects through various certification programs, including LEED for Homes, Energy Star and the National Green Building Standard. With an extensive background in building science, she provides consistently sound guidance on the most cost-effective envelope and mechanical strategies, ensuring optimized energy performance within budget.
Janice’s keen attention to client service is the product of a lengthy management career in the home center industry. Her attentive management style and thorough knowledge of sustainable building practices consistently result in highly satisfied project teams.
Janice supports green building education through her service to several advocacy and education organizations, currently serving with the USGBC MD Chapter LEED for Homes Committee and the Green Building Institute’s Education Committee. Her diverse education includes extensive studies in business, architecture and building science.
